First start

Once you completed the sign-up process, you'll be prompted to log in with your Microsoft account. You can use both a personal as well as a Business Microsoft account. Upon first login, you'll be prompted to configure your languages, the default currency and the default unit system (metric or imperial).

Languages need to be changed by the support afterwards

It is recommended that you carefully pick the languages you might need. Depending on the subscription you selected, you have a number of languages available. It is recommended to rather take more languages than you actually need. Should you want to change the languages afterwards, please contact the support team.

Default currency and unit system

The default currency and zbut system is used for system-internal calculations and does impose any restrictions. It is recommended that you pick the currency your business operates in and the unit system your home country uses. When setting up different domains and sites, you can still define default currencies and the unit system for those individually. Therefore you should pick the currency and unit system you are most comfortable with. The system allows converting the unit systems and currencies at any time. It is entirely multi-region, multi-language and multi-currency.

Default currency and unit system are only used internally

The system only uses your default currency and unit system internally for calculation and sorting. Hence, it is recommended to use the ones you are most comfortable with. The default settings have no effect on your sites and customers. You can still define them individually.

Steps for a quick start

It does not take long to get LODGEA off the ground and your booking site running. Some configurations depend on your individual requirements, but generally a LODGEA booking engine can be launched within a few minutes. All you need to do is to load your inventory and connect your Internet domain through your domain provider.

Quick start steps

  1. Connect your channel managers or PMS - OR - load your properties manually
  2. Setup a test domain, upload your logos and configure your style
  3. Connect your production domain and your booking engine is enabled

You can get a test-site up and running very quickly. The production or live-domain doesn't take much longer. Nevertheless you should take your time to test and verify that everything is working as required and familiarise yourself with the system.
